There were many of these strawberry pots around the grounds; I had never seen anything like them

Alex Jordan Jr. seemed to have a great love for dark, intimate spaces, almost seeming to spite the sprawling house perched high atop a sunny rock

There were a number of indoor garden areas on the tour, which were usually surrounded by more dark spaces

Much of the environment seems to be inspired by Japanese culture

Only some of the Tiffany looking lamps are real, but it can be hard to tell

Though more care might have been taken in the maintenance of the house itself, the garden was very well cared for

The integration of the cannon into the environment was well done

We unfortunately didn't have too much time to tour the House on The Rock, so I handed off one of my cameras to my traveling companions, Patrick Rady and Marc Williams, so the pictures in the latter half of the gallery are theirs. Anyhow, this is a nice overview of the central Japanese garden

In this picture you can see me taking one of the pictures you saw earlier in the gallery, in the infinity room, with Marc and a maintenance worker in the background

Not a real Tiffany. Who cares?
-
p1040041.jpg
Water features were well kept

p1040053.jpg
This is a great example of how a technically poor picture can be great aesthetically
-
p1040055.jpg
The flower collection was wonderful. I'll leave it at that for the next few shots
